  Inks Lake

Inks lake is located on the Colorado river just outside of Burnet . This 803 acre lake has plenty of structure for bass, including rock piles, rock ledged and docks. The boat docks, which pertrude from the shore, that add shade for the fish on days when the sun is high. Unlike other area lakes, Inks does not hold significant aquatic vegetation. Water color is fairly clear and the lake has a constant level year round.

Fishing can be good all year at Inks lake. You will be most successful fishing with topwater lures, spinnerbaits and crankbaits along the banks. Boat docks can also be very productive. When fishing boat docks, try flipping jigs and plastics worms. The largest Largemouth Bass caught on Inks was 11.99 pounds and was caught 3/4/01.
